Work and inclusion
Theme park "People with disabilities at work"
(Hall 6)
One of the most important conditions for the inclusion of people with disabilities is active participation in working life.
Once again this year, exhibitors – such as the LVR and LWL integration offices – will be presenting a wide range of support and counselling services for people with disabilities in their professional lives.
Digital assistance systems in use on site Live in Hall 6, the Technical Advisory Service of the Integration Offices of the LVR and LWL will present three digital systems in use that are tailored to the needs and abilities of patients, including a human-robot collaboration (MRK), in which a robot arm supports the assembly of a workpiece. Another digitally supported workstation shows how work processes in assembly and packaging can be secured by intelligent image processing in order to offer the user a high degree of safety and autonomy. The third assistance system helps to visually record work steps during assembly, repair or maintenance and to individually design the pace of work.
Accessible software: Assistive devices for blind people in the office
The blind Conny Rippe has an office job where she organizes a lot and makes a lot of phone calls. This is made possible by the right assistive technology. Basically, this could be very easy if there weren't any problems with the technical support. In our report, she, her employer Regine Gessner and software manufacturer Hansjörg Lienert talk about the challenges and opportunities of everyday working life with visual impairment.
