What makes you laugh?
Julia Andres: Sometimes curious situations which rather made me want to cry. But laughing is often the better option for me. Of course, so are my fellow people. In general, I can - fortunately - laugh about a lot of things and see most of it calmly. :-)
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Julia Andres: Singing in front of a crowd. The only reason why I haven't done that yet was because of the fear of not being good enough. But I don't have that fear any more and will follow this wish of mine very soon.
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Julia Andres: I think this person is actually me. My life was turned upside down by my disease so much that I had to completely realign myself and learn to listen to my body. So I have been very focused on myself for the last few years and I had to, because otherwise I would probably never have found myself so much. I have consciously used this time to recharge my batteries and to be able to focus more on my surroundings. But I was inspired by a lot of people. Most of all my comrades-in-arms, whom I deeply admire for their courage and fighting spirit. I got to know these dear people via the Internet in exchange about the same disease and many of them have become important friends for me.
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled in your country. What would you do first?
Julia Andres: To increase the pension for people who are unable to work because of their disability/disease, because I know for myself that you live at the subsistence level. Especially when you're so young.
