Thomas Olejniczak - That's how he rolls

For Thomas Olejniczak a little dream came true concerning his professional life: He now sales clothes in a fashion store chain in Germany. Not many autistic people with learning disabilities get this kind of possibility. As a successful example of professional inclusion he has lately been awarded with the vilmA award. What kinds of wishes have not been fulfilled yet, he tells us on REHACARE.com.

When did you last laugh heartily and what about?

Thomas Olejniczak: During a break at work. My workmate and also friend of mine was so nice and told me that I should better not eat everything at once.

What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?

Thomas Olejniczak: Working as an executive.

Which person has influenced you most?

Thomas Olejniczak: My oldest sister. She is working for H&M for years now - where I always wanted to work as well.

You have the chance to become the German Federal Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?

Thomas Olejniczak: People with disabilities who have achieved a lot and taken their chance should be treated equally. That's what I would make happen.

Thomas Olejniczak: There are some questions concerning the development of my disease that haven't been answered yet.

What I finally want to say...

Thomas Olejniczak: I want to get a driver license some day.
